Founding Engineer — Mobile
Own the React Native / Expo app that is the heart of Reimbilly — receipt capture, offline sync, and the desktop-grade web experience.
What you'll own
- Ship features across the Expo app: scanning, reports, approvals, chat, and workspace management
- Own performance — cold start, list virtualization, image pipeline, offline cache
- Build the web/desktop shell (keyboard shortcuts, command palette, data tables) on react-native-web
- Set up and maintain EAS release pipelines for Play Store, App Store, and desktop builds
- Review PRs and raise the engineering bar as employee #1–5
What we need
- 4+ years building production mobile apps, 2+ with React Native
- Shipped at least one app to both Play Store and App Store
- Strong TypeScript and state-management fundamentals
- Comfort with native build tooling (Gradle, Xcode) when Expo needs escape hatches
Nice to have
- Expo SDK / EAS experience
- react-native-web or desktop (Tauri/Electron) experience
- Fintech or document-scanning background
