Diagnostics & privacy
What the app records about your device, why, and what is removed.
Reimbilly keeps a short technical log on your device so that when something breaks, there is a record of what led up to it. This is the difference between "it crashed" and a fixable bug report.
What is recorded
- App events — which screen you moved to, when a sync started or failed.
- Network outcomes — that a request ran, how long it took, and its status code. Never the contents.
- Device context — app version, operating system, whether you were online, available memory.
- Errors, including ones that happen in the background.
What is removed before it leaves your device
- Passwords, one-time codes, access tokens and API keys.
- Card numbers, UPI IDs, Aadhaar and PAN.
- Email addresses and phone numbers, masked so support can still tell two users apart.
- Request and response bodies in full — so receipt contents and amounts are never in the log.
Nothing is uploaded automatically. The log stays on your device until you choose to attach it to a report or copy it yourself.
Reviewing it yourself
Profile → Diagnostics shows the environment summary and the activity log exactly as support would receive it, with a Copy button. There are two tabs: this session, and the one before the last restart — the second is what matters after an unexpected crash.
The log is capped and old entries are discarded, so it cannot grow without limit.
